“For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.” (Jeremiah 29:11, NIV) I read this and immediately knew what God was saying to me regarding the coming New Year. My hope is that you will have the same sentiments. God says, “I know”. Often, we are filled with uncertainty regarding the future, but God says, “I know”; God knows! What He knows are His plans for you and me. Our plans for the future may change, but who alters the plans of God? He is the same God who said, “For I am the Lord, I change not...” (Malachi 3:6, KJV). He will not change His plans for you. Plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. God wants to prosper, not harm us. He wants to give us hope as well as a future which we look forward to. We will face many obstacles in 2014, some of us will face hardships for which we are not prepared to deal with, but no matter what we face, we can be assured that God is working a plan which will prosper, give you hope and a future. These words give me comfort as I enjoy the last hours of 2013. They tell me not to be anxious for anything. They tell me to be steadfast in my faith, unmovable, always abounding in the Lord. I can look back now at 2013 and see how God’s word was faithful and constant for me. His grace was sufficient for me no matter what circumstances I faced during the past twelve months. I can say without reservation that God has demonstrated His love and blessings to me. My prayer for you and your family is that you listen to the words of Moses as he stood on the banks of the Red Sea, pursued by Pharaoh’s massive army. Moses said, “Do not be afraid. Stand firm and you will see the deliverance the Lord will bring you today.” (Exodus 14:13, NIV) MTJ |

Dear MTJ!
Your post has made me think about many things. It reminds me that the Lord wanted me. He ordered me to come to this world at this time. There is meaning and purpose of my life. We, the people, have enormous potential. We have a warehouse full of beautiful beads: talents, gifts that God has placed in us to worship Him and serve. There are problems in this world that demands the absolute necessity of our presence and our intervention. We did not come to earth to survive, to suffer or to live permanently in the chaos, frustration, pressure or depression. The Lord has wonderful plans of peace and not of evil, to give us hope and a future. He knows that the person is already dead without hope.
We need to refuse to leave this world without achieving this goal, because we are not here on earth by accident.
The day when we discover why God sent us to earth, will be one of the most important in our lives. By discovering and walking in God's plan, we will experience the fulfillment and satisfaction of quality we have never felt ...
I find comfort in reading your today. Happy new year to you. I've been meditating on the word these last hour or so.
I hope 2014 proves to be a good year for you and yours!
